The recent increase in energy prices in our country has caused businesses that consume high amounts of energy to be interested in rooftop solar power plant projects due to the ease of financing and the incentives offered. Companies known as EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) have important roles in this system, which works by converting the energy obtained from the panels placed on the roofs into electricity. The companies in question generally undertake all engineering, procurement, assembly and testing phases of the project within the scope of the contracts they make with the business owners. It is possible to list the main points to be considered in the contract between EPC companies and the business owner as follows;

The project power generation capacity specified in the offer submitted by the EPC company (may be expressed in kilowatts (kW) or megawatts (mW) depending on the size) and the legal consequences of falling below this capacity,
The amount of 1 kW of the price foreseen for the project engineering, procurement, assembly and testing stages in the offer submitted by the EPC company,
Particularly the panel and inverter brands and warranty periods to be used within the scope of the project,
The duration of the warranty to be given by the EPC company regarding the workmanship performed during the assembly phase of the project,
Whether the periodic maintenance to be carried out after the project is completed is within the scope of the contract price,
The period from the call letter application to the date when the power plant will start producing energy,
Conditions regarding the payment of certain parts of the price foreseen for the EPC company within the scope of the contract (20% for the shipment of solar panels, 30% after the installation of all equipment, etc.),
Whether VAT is included in the proposed contract price.
